Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Jump & Capture (“the App”) is published by Maverick Codebase. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how it is used when you play on your device.
Information we collect
- Profile details you choose, such as your display name and portrait character.
- Gameplay statistics stored on your device, including results by mode (vs AI, Pass & Play, Local, and Online), win streaks, and scenario progress such as levels cleared and stars earned.
- Settings preferences such as sound volume, music volume, haptics, and whether optional notifications are enabled.
How we use information
- To personalize your profile and in-game appearance.
- To show your statistics inside the App.
- To remember your audio, haptic, and notification preferences between sessions.
- To schedule optional local play reminders on your device when you turn notifications on in Settings.
Local multiplayer (Same Wi‑Fi)
- When you use Local play, the App discovers nearby devices on the same Wi‑Fi network using Apple’s local-network and peer-discovery technologies.
- Your chosen display name and character portrait may be visible to nearby players on that network so they can invite you to a match.
- Match data is exchanged directly between devices. Maverick Codebase does not receive or store these sessions on our servers.
Online play (Game Center & iCloud)
- Online matches use Apple’s Game Center. To play online you sign in to Game Center, and Apple shares your Game Center identity (such as your player ID and Game Center alias) with the players you are matched against, as described in Apple’s privacy policy.
- During a match, your chosen in-game display name and character bead are sent directly to your opponent so each side can see who they are playing.
- Match moves are exchanged directly between the two devices through Game Center. Maverick Codebase does not run a game server and does not receive or store your matches.
- “Invite a Friend” room codes use Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit). When you create a room, the App stores a short, non-personal record — the room code and whether it is open or started — in iCloud so your friend’s device can find it. These records are temporary and contain no profile, contact, or gameplay content.
- Using online features requires being signed in to Game Center and iCloud on your device.
Notifications
- If you enable notifications in Settings, the App asks iOS for permission to show alerts and sounds.
- We use local notifications only — an optional daily reminder to play. Reminders are scheduled on your device by the App; we do not use a push notification server and we do not send marketing messages.
- Notifications are never required to play. You can turn them off at any time in the App’s Settings or in iOS Settings, and any scheduled reminders are removed.
Where data is stored
- Your profile, statistics, scenario progress, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple’s standard on-device storage.
- “Invite a Friend” room codes are stored temporarily in Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) so a friend can join; they hold only the code and its open/started status — no profile or gameplay data.
- We do not require a Maverick Codebase account to play, and we do not operate our own login or game server for this App — online play and room lookup run on Apple’s Game Center and iCloud.
Advertising
- The free version of the App shows ads from Google AdMob, including banners on some menu screens and occasional full-screen ads between matches.
- To serve and measure ads, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising identifier), coarse location, and app-usage and diagnostic data, as described in Google’s policies.
- When you first start playing, iOS asks for permission to track you (App Tracking Transparency). If you allow it, you may see more relevant (personalized) ads; if you decline, you still see ads, but non‑personalized ones.
- You can buy Remove Ads — a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase — to remove all banner and full-screen ads. Once purchased, no ads are requested or shown.
- Learn more about how Google uses data from apps that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Third-party services
- Apple App Store and StoreKit process purchases when you buy Remove Ads. We receive only whether the purchase is active, not your payment details.
- Apple Game Center provides online matchmaking and connects you with other players; Apple processes your Game Center data under its own privacy policy.
- Apple iCloud (CloudKit) stores temporary room-code records for “Invite a Friend” under Apple’s privacy policy.
- Google AdMob provides advertising as described in the Advertising section above and processes data under its own privacy policy.
- Apple may collect diagnostic and analytics data according to your device settings and Apple’s privacy policy.
Children’s privacy
- The App is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will help you remove locally stored App data by uninstalling the App or resetting its data.
Your choices
- You can change your profile name and character at any time in the App.
- You can adjust or disable sound, music, haptics, and notifications in Settings.
- You can decline tracking when iOS asks (or change it later in iOS Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking); you will still see non‑personalized ads.
- You can remove all ads with the one-time Remove Ads purchase, and restore it on a new device with “Restore Purchases.”
- You can decline local-network or notification permission when iOS asks; Local play and reminders simply will not work until permission is granted.
- Deleting the App removes locally stored profile, statistics, and settings data from your device.
